Transport properties for some atom-ion interactions in air

  • 1. Procter and Gamble Co., Cincinnati, OH
  • 2. Missouri-Rolla Univ., Rolla, MO

Description

The thermal conductivity and viscosity for the N-N(+) and O-O(+) interactions have been calculated, using the kinetic theory of gases, from 500 K-20,000 K. Accurate spectroscopically determined potentials have been used for the calculations. The results are compared with previous results obtained using less accurate potentials. 62 references
