The HTGR: from demonstration experience to co-generation applications
Description
The design of the large High Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor is described and the programme leading to its commercialization is outlined. The commercial HTGR should provide a high performance nuclear system which not only generates electric power but also provides a safe, low cost source of high temperature process steam to meet the expanding needs of the process industries throughout the world.
