Safety analysis of the three potential sites for a final repository for low and intermediate-level radioactive wastes

Description
The following article summarises the current stage of the safety analyses for the potential repository sites at Oberbauenstock (UR), Piz Pian Grand (GR) and Bois de la Glaive (VD). Oberbauenstock was selected as a model site for Project Gewaehr 1985 and the relevant safety analyses were therefore reported on within the framework of Project Gewaehr. The long-term safety studies for Piz Pian Grand and Bois de la Glaive are not yet complete. It is true for all three sites that the safety analysis data-base is based on the state of knowledge existing prior to site investigations. (author)
