Four parameters databank for full creep curve characterization
Description
Starting with the presentation of a general equation describing the three stages of the creep curve with four parameters, the paper shows a method to exactly fit the curve and deduce the parameters to build up databanks for materials characterization. The goal is to use such databanks as a tool for remnant life assessments of components. By way of example, a databank has been built up from twelve curves corresponding to a 2.25Cr1Mo steel tested at temperatures between 823 and 883 K under stresses from 68 to 285 MPa. Some relationships between the parameters, the stress and the temperature have been put into light
