Radiation distribution measurement at cERL with a general purpose imaging film

Description
Energy Recovery Linac is a linac based accelerator but it is possible to operate a high current beam based on the energy recovery scheme. A test ERL accelerator, cERL, is constructed in KEK and is under commissioning. One of the important issue in high current operation of ERL is beam loss control. In addition to radiation monitors that are originally prepared in the facility, we have been using a simple measurement using camera films. Distributing many films in the accelerator area, we can understand radiation map in one day of operation. Setup and examples of the measurement are shown. (author)
