Ioxaglinic acid and iotalaminic acid in excretory urography in patients with impaired renal function

  • 1. Mainz Univ. (Germany, F.R.). Urologische Klinik und Poliklinik

Description

Two contrast media - lothalamate and loxaglate - were compared in a randomized double blind study in patients with impaired renal function: In excretory urography, contrast media with low osmolality show better contrast of the collecting system of the kidney and lower rate of side-effects. In patients with impaired renal function, contrast media with low osmolality show a gain in diagnostic information. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

(orig.)
