A design of virtual nuclear measurement instrument data acquisition hardware based on PCI BUS

Description

The virtual instrument technology is implemented by means implementation of signal measurement and processing using software. It means that the signal to be tested must convert to digital message. Nuclear signals have characters as randomicity, narrow pulse, multi-amplitude, multi-parameter etc. In this paper, an implementation is introduced of double channels high resolution, high rate nuclear message acquisition and transmission based on PCI bus, suitable for virtual nuclear instrument. The main character of this design is that it can assure zero dead time of the high rate A/D conversion and transmission and thus assure the capture of random nuclear message
