Description

We present a magneto-optical Kerr effect characterization of Co2MnGe and Co2MnSn films grown on sapphire. In-plane magnetic anisotropy induced by the shape and the crystal orientation of the films is observed for both compounds. The wavelength dependence of the Kerr rotation consists of well-structured spectra. The maximum longitudinal Kerr rotation at room temperature is observed for the Co2MnGe film at 1.6 μm, and it is equal to 0.12 deg
