The reconstruction of the Tohuku (North-East Japan) after the catastrophes of the 11 March 2011

Description

Illustrated by maps, drawings and photos, this publication first recalls some aspects of the catastrophe of the 11 March 2011 (earthquake and tsunami, destruction of the Sanriku region by the tsunami, failure of protection works), and then addresses the nuclear accident of Fukushima and the radioactive contamination of northern Japan (under house holding of inhabitants, issue of refugees). The question of land planning after the catastrophe is addressed: a reshaping of the archipelago, the bottomless pit of Fukushima decontamination, and the perspective of energy transition (photovoltaic energy and land planning).
