Atomic stricture of elements and their studies with X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy

Description
X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy is conventionally known as an analytical which derives informations from the electrons distributed in a framework of the extra nuclear region of an element. This gives an insight to their atomic structure. Representative spectra of the elements of the periodic table have compiled together. Interesting features of the lanthanide contraction as compared with the position of the peaks in the actinides are highlighted. Role of XRF in the structural studies of an atom is elucidated.
