Device for positioning electrodes in an isotope separator collector and for controlling the shape and intensity of the ion beam

Description
The position of ion detecting pins inside the collector of an electromagnetic isotope separator is controlled with a great accuracy from a large distance of the isotope separator. These pins are used for beam visualisation and stabilisation together with an intensity measurement. The pins are moved in the collector by an endless screw and the position determined by a set of Selsyns. (author)
Abstract (French)
Ce travail a pour objet la realisation d'un dispositif positionnant un ensemble d'electrodes dans le collecte.ur d'un separateur d'isotopes. Ces electrodes permettent la visualisation sur un oscilloscope d'une ou plusieurs masses, la stabilisation en position du faisceau dans le collecteur et la mesure de son intensite. Les electrodes sont deplacees dans le collecteur a l'aide d'un moteur et d'une vis-sans-fin. Un ensemble de Selsyns transmet leurs positions au pupitre de commande du separateur. (auteur)Files
