Radiation chemistry of the fluoroolefins
Description
A study has been made of the radiation chemistry of the lower fluoroolefins under β and γ irradiation. It has been shown that the principal reaction here is a high-yield radical polymerization. Radiolysis of fluoroolefins occurs along with polymerization. A study has also been made of the Radical radiational polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene, trifluoroethylene, and vinyl and vinylidene fluorides. It has been shown that heterogeneous radiational polymerization of the fluoroethylenes proceeds through a radical mechanism
