Cumulative enhancement of J/psi production in hadron-nucleus collisions

Description
Inclusive J/psi production from nuclear targets is discussed in a model that describes well the multiplicity and momentum distributions of particles produced in high-energy hadron-nucleus collisions. At incident energies below 30 GeV, cumulative effects (via energy rescaling) lead to an A dependence of the cross section for p+A→J/psi+X that is much stronger than the commonly assumed A or A2/3 dependence of this cross section
