2s22p5-2s2p6 transitions in the fluorinelike ions Sr29+ and Y30+

Description

The 2s22p5-2s2p6 transitions in Sr29+ and Y30+ have been observed by means of a laser-produced plasma and a 2.2-m grazing-incidence spectrograph. Comparison of the observed 2s22p52P/sub 3/2hyphen1/2/ fine-structure intervals with values calculated by the Dirac-Fock method allows accurate wavelengths to be predicted for the 2s22p52P/sub 3/2/-2P/sub 1/2/ magnetic-dipole transitions in the isoelectronic series of ions Kr27+-Mo33+
