Effect of sulfur content on pitting corrosion resistance of 03Kh24N6AM3 steel
Creators
Description
Pitting corrosion resistance was investigated by plotting potentiodynamic curves in 10 % NaCl solution at room temperature. FeS was used for fraction alloying. Tests, conducted in 6 % FeCl3 showed, that pitting corrosion resistance increased with growth of pitting index, especially at elevated temperature. Increase of sulfur content decreases pitting corrosion resistance at constant pitting index. It is shown that potentiostatic etching at 0.45 V during 30 days is sufficient to etch sulfides, so that preserved inclusions don't contain sulfur
