Small angle neutron scattering measurements of micelle to gel transition in solutions of CTAB and sodium salicylate

Description
SANS measurements from CTAB solutions with and without Na-salicylate additive are reported. In conjunction with NMR measurements it is concluded that addition of Na-salicylate leads to lengthening of micellar structures and also modifies the structure factor S(Q). Smaller Q measurements are needed for more definitive conclusions. (author) 7 refs., 2 figs
