Description
Using the new dyed electrochemical etching (ECE) track (DYECET) method, particle tracks are densely dyed in polymers like polycarbonate (PC) and CR-39, forming high photon absorbent sites for spectrophotometry or other applications. Through efforts made to bypass the acid treatment, different color DYECETs were developed with or without acid treatment. However, the UV absorbency was low and constant in foils not acid treated. In this paper, the results as well as some phenomenological conclusions are presented and discussed. (author)
