Description
Structure peculiarities of underground NPPs, experience in their operation and forecasting of further development are considered. All together there are 4 underground NPPs in the world with 20-905 MWt reactors. Experience in creation and operation of these comparatively small NPPs is turned out to be positive on the whole. Main advantages of underground NPPs are considered to be improvement of population and environment protection from hypothetical accidents (reactor core melting-down), good missile protection including war events as well as approval of broad public
