Crud elimination device in BWR type power plants

Description

Purpose: To effectively deposit cruds for elimination to electrodes by utilizing electric field and the centrifugal force of flowing water. Constitution: The device according to this invention is used in connection with coolant pipeways or recycling pipeways. The device comprises an anode member such as of a carbon rod situated at the center and a cylindrical cathode member made of wire mesh disposed therearound. Then, when flowing water is introduced along the tangential direction to the device, centrifugal force is exerted on the cruds in the flowing water to promote the depositing effect to the cathode member, as well as cruds are electrodeposited to the cathode by the action of the electric field.
