Frozen spin target with three orthogonal polarization directions
Description
A frozen spin target has been constructed at CEN-Saclay for nucleon-nucleon scattering experiments at the P.S. SATURNE II. The target which may have a maximum volume of 100 cm3 is cooled in a vertical dilution refrigerator. The magnet system is entirely superconducting and allows the polarization vector to be oriented in three orthogonal directions. This target has been already used for the measurements of several parameters in the p-p scattering. 8 references, 3 figures
