Calculation of mass enhancement factor in heavy fermion compounds

Description
We have calculated mass enhancement factors (λ) for heavy-fermion compounds on the basis of the Fermi liquid theory. The numerical calculation is quite difficult because it is necessary to take into account many-body effects that is mainly electron interaction between f-electrons. We have calculated λ by using a pertubation theory, based on the band structure obtained from the full-potential LAPW calculation. We have obtained good results about cyclotron effective masses for CeSn3, in which the agreement of the Fermi surfaces between theory and experiment is confirmed. (orig.)
