Description
Gravel contaminated with 226Ra is leached with several aqueous leachant, namely water, diluted HCl, solutions of barium chloride of different molarities of barium chloride. The effects of leachant volume, leachant temperature, of gravel, were investigated at the laboratory scale level. The study is intended to generate data that help approximate the behavior of large scale pilot studies under field conditions
