Defectiveness of CaWO4 structure
Description
Defectiveness of MElO4 structures where M-Ca, Sr, Ba, Pb; El-W, Mo, has been investigated using CaWO4 as an example. Electrical, crystallo- and physicochemical properties (electric conductivity, ion transfer numbers, density, volume of unit cell) of pure mono- and polycrystalline CaWO4 samples as those alloyed with donor and acceptor type admixtures are studied. Na2WO4, Gd2(WO4)3, CaO have been used as alloying additions. It is shown that vacancy disordering of any of three sublattices may take place in respect to the type of additions and admixtures that permits to control the processes of diffusion mass transfer, i.e. solid phase synthesis of complex oxide materials
