Process reactor based on a magnetohydrodynamically-stimulated supersonic gas turbulence
Description
A method is discussed for inducing a rotation in an ionized gas to obtain a high pressure gradient in a reactor vessel. A mixture of fission compounds (e.g. UF6) and light gases (e.g. He, Ar) is used instead of uranium vapours which require temperatures up to 10,000 K. The method may not only be used to control a fission reaction but also for isotopic enrichment and reprocessing of fission products
