Superconducting accelerator: ESCAR

A description is given of the continuing design and construction efforts for the Experimental Superconducting Accelerator Ring, ESCAR, a proton accelerator and storage ring with the express purpose of providing experience in building and operating this first functioning accelerator to use superconducting magnets and cryogenic techniques throughout.
