State of the art of electron beam treatment of materials

Description
Based on theoretical and experimental modeling of electron beam processes the concept of their realization has been worked out using generation of the required temperature field in a work piece by varying the electron beam parameters. The work aim is elaboration of scientific and technological basics for electron beam processing of materials and thereby obtaining items with new properties, establishment of major mechanisms responsible for surface hardening of steels and titanium alloys, formation of one-piece steel-to-steel joints and those of super-hard materials with steels and development of new methods and high-performance technological processes.
