Brief outline of the projected fuel reprocessing plant at Dragahn
Description
This report summarizes the site assessment activities and the state of the art of spent fuel reprocessing as well as the experience available so far. Design and operation of the projected plant are explained, followed by a description of engineered safety aspects and the scheme of preventive measures to provide protection against hazards. The report concludes by briefly discussing the current strategy of radioactive waste management, including considerations as to the serviceable life of reprocessing plants and their eventual decommissioning. Daneben erfolgt die Erlaeuterung der Sicherheitsvorkehrungen fuer die geplante Anlage, der Beherrschung von Stoerfaellen und der Auswirkungen der Anlage und ihres Betriebes auf die Umgebung.
