Description
In a heated 4-rod bundle (P/D = W/D = 1.147) with sodium flow fluid temperatures, RMS values of the temperature fluctuations, and wall temperatures of the rectangular flow channel were measured both under conditions of uniform power distribution and power tilting. It is shown by characteristic examples of the measured results that uniform heat release and heat removal have been achieved in the bundle test section and that the techniques of measurement with movable probes, applied in liquid flow, have performed well. In preliminary tests the conditions of symmetric flow in the rectangular flow channel had been checked with a Pitot probe in water flow and with two magnetic type probes in sodium flow
