Studies of the formation of copper nanoparticles monolayers on the water subphase

Description
The article is devoted to the study of the formation of copper nanoparticles monolayers on the water subphase by analyzing the compression isotherms depending on the temperature of the water subphase and the volume of aliquot spread on its surface. The size of the copper particles stabilized by a surfactant is in the range from 21 to 33 nm. The light absorption of the copper nanoparticles solution was studied by spectrophotometric method. Using the method of dynamic light scattering the results of the copper particles size in water solution were obtained. It is shown that an increase of the temperature of the water subphase leads to a transition of copper particles and surfactant from the water surface to volume. (paper)
