Description
The regularities of C60 thin film growth on the (100) face of a molybdenum textured ribbon are under study. The films of C60 molecules were vapor deposited in superhigh vacuum. It is revealed that first a monolayer of fullerenes forms at the surface of molybdenum, and then the growth of flat-top tower-like crystallites is observed. A fraction of the surface occupied by the crystallites is strongly dependent on the substrate temperature and molecule flux density. On long-term deposition the crystallites merge together and form a continuous film of fullereties
