Formation and stability of revetized austenite in low-carbon nickel-molybdenum steels
- 1. AN SSSR, Sverdlovsk. Inst. Fiziki Metallov
Description
Magnetometric and electron-microscopic methods have been used to investigate phase composition during austenization in the intercritical temperature range and stability of revetized austenite in low-carbon nickel-molybdenum steels of electroslag remelting are investigated. Thermal treatment conditions are determined at which maximum quantity of revetized austenite and the most stable austenite are formed. Inverse relationship of revetized austenite quantity on cooling velocity from intercritical temperature range is shown
