Description
An analysis of objective function maximization when treatment volumes are deliberately enlarged to account for tumour mobility has been carried out. The normal tissue is modelled as being organized in identical functional units (FSUs) composed of a relatively great number of cells. Organs with serial and parallel architecture are considered. Implicit averaging over intrapatient normal tissue radiosensitivity variations is done. (author)
