Data treatment
Description
The experimental data collected in X-ray small angle scattering experiments have to be transformed to correspond to an ideal experimental design, in order to be interpretable with the aid of the available theories. The mathematical procedures and the computer programs which are necessary for these transformations are discussed. These include preliminary data treatment, smoothing, desmearing and Fourier transformation, the evaluation of molecular parameters and normalization and the calculation of scattered intensities and distance distribution models.
