Description

A study of high spins of odd neutron nuclei 75Kr and 79Sr, is presented in this report. The 75Kr nucleus was populated through the inverse 24Mg(54Fe, 2pn)75Kr reaction at beam energies of 177 MeV and 190 MeV, and 79Sr through the 24Mg(58Ni, 2pn)79Sr reaction at 190 MeV beam energy. By using the data from these experiments we were able to extend the known bands to the point where alignment effects are observed. The levels in 75Kr have been identified up to spin 37/2+ and 31/2- in the positive and negative parity bands respectively. In 79Sr, the level scheme has been extended to spins 37/2+ in the positive and 33/2- in the negative parity bands. (orig.)
