Effect of flaws on static strength of mechanically heterogeneous welded joints of cylindrical parts

Description
Formulae to calculate statistic strength of mechanically inhomogeneous welded joints of cylindric details with a certain flaw (circle-shaped in the plan view) in the weld central part are suggested and experimentally verified. It is shown that strength and deformation characteristics of the welded joints being considered are determined by structural geometric parameters of welded joints (relative thickness of soft interlayer), as well as by the degree of their mechanical inhomogeneity and sizes of defects
