Burning control device in thermonuclear reactor

Description

Purpose: To improve the dismantling and maintaining operation efficiency by causing abrasions and damages of the first walls in a thermonuclear reactor at those portions where dismantling and repair can be conducted easily. Constitution: The burning control device in a thermonuclear reactor according to the present invention is adapted for controlling the burning of a Tokamak type reactor by means of toroidal magnetic field ripples, and it has a feature in disposing magnetic means for changing the spacial distribution of magnetic field ripples in shielding bodies of a thermonuclear device. As the magnetic means, magnetic members opposed to toroidal magnetic field generation coils are embedded near the outer circumference in the shielding bodies and magnetic members corresponding to the intermediate portion of the toroidal magnetic field generation coils are embedded near the inner circumference thereof respectively. In the burning control device of such a constitution, the magnetic means changes the spacial distribution of the ripples of the toroidal magnetic field and displaces the localization of thermal loads due to high energy particles to the portion of the first walls where dismantling and repair are easy. Accordingly, it is possible to apply rapidly and easily replacement, dismantling or repair of the first walls. (Kawakami, Y.)
