Model calculation of equilibrium oxygen pressure over uranium dioxide
Description
A thermodynamic model has been developed which describes equilibrium pressures of oxygen over uranium dioxide in the region of its homogeneity for temperatures above 1100 K. Information on compositions and formation energies of the phases of a stoichiometric composition in the uranium-oxygen system was used for calculations. The calculation results are in satisfactory agreement with the values of oxygen equilibrium pressure over uranium dioxide available in literature
