Trajectory fit in presence of dense materials

Description

We present procedures to fit trajectories through dense materials fully accounting for multiple scattering and energy loss. A new algorithm based on the inversion of a banded matrix is described and compared with other more classical approaches. Practical applications using the GEANE package are presented. (orig.)
