The Slatyer report
Description
The Slatyer report is the response by the Australian Science and Technology Council (ASTEC) to a formal request by the Prime Minister to examine several specified aspects of Australia's role in the nuclear fuel cycle. ASTEC was limited by its terms of reference to proliferation, safeguards and waste disposal and thus did not consider cessation of uranium mining and uranium export. The recommendations and arguments presented in the report are addressed
