Spectral study of Nd3+ ternary complex of amino acid in different solvents
Description
The absorption spectra of the complex in different solvents has been studied in the visible region, and the values of Slater-Condon (Fk), Racah (Ek) and Lande (ε4f) parameters and Judd-Ofelt intensity parameter (Tλ) have been computed. The reasonable agreement between the calculated and experimental values of oscillator strengths shows that the theories proposed by B R Judd (1962) and G S Ofelt (1962) are applicable for this system. 14 refs., 3 tables.
