In-plant reliability data system
Description
The objectives of the In-Plant Reliability Data (IPRD) program are threefold: (1) to develop an equipment failure data base for Probabilistic Risk Analysis (PRA) use; (2) to identify the generic problems within the industry as to what components exhibit the same type of failures throughout the industry, and what could be done to help improve the reliability of these components, realizing the types of failures that occur; and (3) to identify the failure trends in a plant or a specific component. The major elements of the IPRD program are threefold: the data collection, the data base preparation, and the data analysis
