Measurement of a 58Co activity in the presence of a 60Co activity 103 to 104 times greater (1963)

Description
The text describes an experimental method for the measurement of a 58Co activity in the presence of a 60Co activity which is 1,000 to 10,000 greater. The determination of this activity is based on the presence of a coincidence between the β+ particle (whose presence is shown by annihilation γ-rays) and the 805 keV γ-radiation emitted during the disintegration of 58Co. Ce texte decrit une methode experimentale permettant la mesure d'une activite de l'isotope 58 du cobalt, en presence d'une activite 1000 a 10000 fois superieure de l'isotope 60 du cobalt. La determination de cette activite repose sur la mise en evidence de la coincidence de la particule β+ (mise en evidence par les γ d'annihilation) avec le rayonnement γ d'energie 805 keV emis lors de la desintegration du 58Co.
