LEP measurements on production, mass, lifetime of beauty particles

Description

Present knowledge about the individual properties of the different beauty particles is discussed using the results of the LEP experiments. Individual lifetimes for Bd0 and B+ are found to be equal within 10% whilst a 15% precision is reached for Bs0 and Λb. The Λb lifetime is found to be smaller than τB+ with a 2.7 σ significance. The production rate of each of these particles is measured at the 20% level. Preliminary evidence for Ξb production has been reported. Finally, the Bs0 meson mass has been measured to be 5373 ± 4 MeV/c2. (author) 24 refs., 9 figs., 5 tabs
