Comment on 'Absorption in one-dimensional metallic-dielectric photonic crystals'

Description
Using the transfer matrix method for calculating the transmittance, absorptance and photon density of states of one-dimensional metallic-dielectric photonic crystals, we investigate the origin of the absorption enhancement in these photonic systems. The effect of the metallic layer thickness on the electric field distribution is discussed. (comment)
