Investigation of structure of cadmium nitrate aqueous solutions of 1:40 and 1:60 molar ratio (T=298.15 K) by x-ray structure analysis

Description
Aqueous Cd(NO3)2 solution with 1:40, 1:60 molar ratios (T=298.15 K) are investigated using the method of computer simulation of X-ray diffraction in liquid solutions. The most probable structural models of investigated solutions, characterized by octahedral Cd(2) cation surrounding and presence of the second coordination sphere with 8H20 molecules, are found. In the above solutions NO3- ion has a hydration sphere containing nine H2O molecules for 1:40 solution, and 12-14 H2O molecules - for 1:60 solution
