Role of fluctuations in heavy ion reactions

Description
Nuclear density fluctuations are introduced into BUU simulations of reactions between heavy ions. In cases of spinoidal instabilities of the interacting systems they strongly enhance a production of light and intermediate mass fragments. (author)
