Computational methods for turbulent, transonic, and viscous flows

This book comprises the notes for a course on computational fluid dynamics held at the von Karman Institute. Lectures were presented on such topics as: body-fitted grid-generation techniques, recent developments in fast multi-grid solvers for the solution of linear and nonlinear elliptic equations; advances in higher-level simulations of turbulent flows; numerical methods for the calculation of incompressible viscous flows solving the Navier-Stokes equations; iterative techniques for the solution of the full potential equations at transonic regime; and development of new relaxation methods for Euler equations and their application to steady transonic flows
