Individual neutron dosimetry
Description
The most important concepts and development in individual neutron dosimetry are presented, especially the dosimetric properties of the albedo technique. The main problem in albedo dosimetry is to calibrate the dosemeter in the environs of each neutron source. Some of the most used calibration techniques are discussed. The IRD albedo dosemeter used in the routine neutron individual monitoring is described in detail. Its dosimetric properties and calibration methods are discussed. (Author)

Os conceitos e desenvolvimentos mais importantes na area de dosimetria individual de neutrons sao apresentados especialmente as propriedades dosimetricas da tecnica de albedo. O principal problema desta tecnica e a calibracao do dosimetro de albedo nos arredores de cada fonte de neutrons. Sao discutidas algumas das tecnicas de calibracao mais empregadas. O dosimetro de albedo utilizado pelo Instituto de Radioprotecao e Dosimetria (IRD/CNEN) para a dosimetria individual rotineira de neutrons e descrito em detalhes. Sao discutidas suas propriedades dosimetricas e metodos de calibracao. (Autor)Files
