Search for high-multipolarity transitions in the decay of 177;17:8;180Hf k-isomers
Description
Experiments on the search for high-multipolarity transitions in the decay of 177Hf (T1/2=1.09 s), 178Hf (T1/2=4.0 s), and 180Hf (T1/2=5.53 hours) K-isomers have been performed. As a result, limits on the transition probabilities gamma432 keV (IKπ? = 23/2 23/2+ - > 17/2 9/2+) in 177Hf, gamma515 keV (8 8- -> 6 0+) in 178Hf, and gamma833 keV (8 8- -> 4 0+) in 180Hf have been obtained. Conclusions about the possible multipolarity of these transitions have been made.
