Effect of Three Mile Island LOCA on cables, connector components
Description
The TMI-2 cable/connections have experienced different environmental conditions, depending on location within the reactor building. These conditions include: radiation, containment spray, steam, temperature, humidity, pressure, water submergence, and hydrogen burn. Tests are being performed to determine the effects of these conditions on component performance. The tests can be divided into two main categories: (1) in situ and (2) laboratory. Laboratory tests evaluate both electrical and materials effects
